All faculty teaching online are required to complete D2L and Quality Matters training. Mansfield is a member of Quality Matters (QM) and regularly offers training on campus. The QM Rubric guides the development of high quality online courses for Mansfield faculty. The QM Rubric is available to faculty members on the My.Mansfield webpage under Online Instructional Resources.
Quality Matters (QM) is a continuous improvement model for assuring the quality of online courses through a faculty review process. This is a faculty-centered, peer-review based process that is designed to certify the quality of online courses.
Building quality assurance into the online course development process assists in the efficient creation of high quality courses. MarylandOnline originally developed QM as a standards-based rubric to review online courses. Learn how QM standards can be used to build quality into new online courses. Methods change, but standards of quality endure. Discover how you can create a replicable process for your program. QM is a diagnostic tool to facilitate continuous improvement of online/hybrid courses.
